The Americano I had was pretty good. The drink menu was a bit confusing.

Very nice inside, very friendly staff, classy place. I don't like how the coffee tastes. Medium roast was too sour for me. Dark roast was not bitter enough. Perhaps I do not have a fine enough taste palette to appreciate the coffee here.

Went for the first time today. Had a cappuccino with vanilla. The barista suggested that a single would get overpowered and I should go with a double instead. He was absolutely right. The balance of the double was perfect. Apple muffins were perfect as well. Will definitely be going back soon.

Best coffee in the KW area

Best coffee shop I've been to in Waterloo, hands down. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff (baristas), and the owner is an absolute joy to chat with. Whether you're looking for a coffee to go or to ask questions to improve your home coffee game, this is the place to go!

I go for the goat cheese scones - amazing! Great little spot to work as well but can get a bit noisy.

Cute little coffee shop within an office/commerical building. They offer many different brew styles for coffee, with talented baristas. Their lunch menu is pretty much the same every day with a few alternates. Desserts are also fresh and delicious.

Simply put ... a fantastic cup of coffee (cappuccino actually). This will be my coffee spot ... sorry Starbucks!

An interesting place to relax for afternoon coffee. They have a wide variety of ways to prepare coffees. I hadn't seen a siphone coffee before, so tried it. Really interesting process to watch. Our barista was very friendly and explained as she made it. This preparation takes a bit longer, but it was a very good coffee.

Faboulous! For gluten free folks, they have a cinnamon cookie and a nut bar available. I have yet to be glutenized by their coffee. I assume its organic?

I enjoyed my pour over coffee. My sister ordered their BLT bagel and a matcha tea. She wasn’t impressed with their bagel sandwich and matcha tea was way too sweet. They do have a good selection of coffee and different brew styles.

MoT makes, likely, the best coffee I've had in a long time and now they're located adjacent to the Research & Technology Park north of the University of Waterloo. Located on Phillip, in the old BlackBerry 8 at the new ION stop. They serve a delightful menu of lighter fare, providing a comfortable environment to talk or study. This is the best place for your morning joe if you love good coffee.

Love this little cafe. There is abundant lighting, different kinds of seats around the center where you order, and some with outlets if you wanted to work for a while. Service is super friendly! They also have lunch 11-3, and I loved the chicken pot pie combo. I also got an iced cappuccino which was very good, not too sweet even though I asked for it to be sweetened so it was just perfect. Bonus, I loved their playlist, quite my kind of cafe jams (though less on the mellow side).

Lovely place for coffee, warm drinks, snacks, and lunch. The quality is excellent, and they have a drinks loyalty card for frequent visitors.

Very disappointed with the Philip St. location. I have been given moldy food TWICE in the past two weeks. I was really excited to see they had some breakfast options using almond milk (as I can't have dairy), but the fruit has been moldy on the Steel Cut Oats twice now. I don't know why the employees wouldn't be checking these before they put them out for the day. The first time I received a moldy one, I was able to go back and the employee was very apologetic but said something about they don't make them in house and they were made a few days ago. The second time I received a moldy one I was in a solid day of meetings so I wasn't able to go back and tell them. If this is the kind of care/attention they put into fruit I can't imagine how they handle/treat other items. I absolutely won't be going back, especially given how expensive they are.

Staff took the time to explain any menu options I asked about, and seeing the demo of the siphon was cool.

Good spot for a casual date. I love the fact that this place is kinda hidden and not many people know of it, it gives you a sense of exclusivity. Coffee tasted really good and I had the turkey sandwich which was made to perfection 👌🏼

Kind of out of the way but I stopped in because I was nearby. They didn't have the loose leaf tea I wanted to buy (which they have at the kitchener location) but the staff person was really friendly and helpful and said she'd talk to the manager about it. I got a tea to go and a pumpkin muffin and it was a nice treat. I recommend if you're in the area.

Great little coffee place tucked away in the middle of town. Glad to see what they've done to the former Blackberry buildings here too. Conveniently close to the ION stop!

Yummy coffee! Food took a little while and wasn't hot, but tasty nonetheless.

I discovered this place today and I will definitely be going back. It's really, really off the beaten path, I never would have discovered it had I not been with an 'in the know' friend. The hot chocolate was great; not too sweet which is how I like it. Nice interior and decor. Since it is in an old office building it lacks some of the charm of that coffee shops often have, but I think they have done a really good job compensating with the design and decoration.
